Jp90Talon I dont have any experiences with any models but have been eyeing a few to get this spring.

So far I like the Smittybilt (cross bars are removable to drop the top)

eBay Motors: Smittybilt SRC Roof Rack Jeep 97-06 Jeep TJ Wrangler (item 260321426074 end time Jan-23-09 20:00:00 PST)

Or this style I came accross (Has rear hinges to flip back so you can drop the top)

eBay Motors: Jeep Wrangler overhead rack TJ 1997-06 500lb capacity (item 200063282183 end time Jan-16-09 12:46:12 PST)

But then again I have a friend with a nice pipe bender and welder so I may try and fab one up myself if I am motivated enough. Only issue is that I have a long list of projects that I want to take on this spring and the list keeps on growing!

jgano23 i like it. the only down side is that the top needs to be off (which is usually not a bad thing). but, you can't use it if it is raining hard or in the winter.

I tried to search for it but didn't see anything.

Was wanting to purchase this to transport some lumber that I periodically buy.

Anybody have any experience, or suggestions?

Thought his might work with kayaks that we plan on buying this summer.

all suggestions appreciated, thx.
