|Paulisgirl||Thanks, for the info, appreciate it, looks like we've got a chore ahead of us if we continue with the self installation.|

This is for an ol VW but the principle is the same for the side windows of your hardtop. So take a look and see what you think. This is why the regular answer is go to a glass shop.

YJ Hardtop window installation HELP!!
New here so, sorry if this is repetitive question..we scored a hardtop for $150....it was muddy in someones back yard, missing rear window altogether but someone had the forethought to take the quarter windows out before leaving it abandoned. Anyways, my husband has it looking like new and is down to the window install, serious time has been spent on this hardtop for my jeep...I feel compelled to help by finding a solution to the current issue he's having...GETTING THE (I'm being real technical here..that is girl technical...I will learn it is my YJ after all) spacer seal into the middle of the main seal around the window. How does this installation portion work and is there any easy way. I know, take it to a window shop...but is are there any other suggestions. I know he will finish this install himself there will be no professional involvement!
by reading i can see that a couple things may have screwed up the process to this point of installation. No adhesive has been used, big issue most definately.
Thanks in advance, it's raining and I need windows!
