|4Jeepn||i run 35's with stock fenders, and have about 6.5" of lift up front, At full flex my tires just rub the fenders. Its all about bump stops.|

9" are plenty strong. The only downfall of them is the bearing issue and that they play hell on pinion angle for jeeps considering how short a wheel base we have.
Our jeeps are about 60" wms to wms so if you were to build the front 44 for your TJ it wouldn't be much of a difference. It would be about the same as someone putting an 8.8 in the rear of a TJ as far as widths go.

|AGRESTI8||I have heard that if I went to the 9 inch it may hang too low if I only run 36's? If I flat fender the front will they fit with only a 4 inch lift or will I have to go bigger?|

|4Jeepn||I would keep your 44 in the rear and Grab his front 44. For 36's 44's are fine. You may want to look into upgraded shafts, but other than that you should be fine.|

A friend of mine is putting 60's on his rig. I basically have the following options to choose from if I want any of his left overs.
For the rear.. a 9 inch small bearing, a 9 inch from a old Lincoln , (I dont know the width), And I could have his dana 44 front from his 60's Bronco. My goal is to run probably 36's. I have a 44 rear now. Should upgrade axles in my 44 or switch to one of the 9 inches? and put his 44 in front in the front so the patterns will match. I believe the bronco axle width is around 62 WMS. All input is appreciated.
