I run a 2" shackle lift on my YJ (4" shackles) and have had no problems. I am, however, finally putting angle shims on the front end. Rotating the front of the front springs down made the steering VERY twitchy because it rotated the axle forward. Wasn't a "problem" for me until I had an accident this past summer on a motorcycle, and the "toy" jeep became daily transportation until I could ride again. It's amazing how the little things get bigger the more you use a vehicle, lol. Anyway, I'm putting some 6 degree shims in there to try and slow the steering a bit, damn thing tracks like I'm drunk. Word of warning, though - it's a b**ch to get the axle to line back up with the spring perches, even with the swaybar and shocks disconnected, and I need to get longer Ubolts because the stockers are too short to span the added height of the shims.
Now, for the main reason I did it: 31x10.5 tires on stock rims, no issues at all. I had to cut the weld and adjust the bumpstops on the steering knuckles so I didn't rub a sidewall at full lock, but no rubbing at all. I've been happy with the addition (aside from the wonky steering). I'd suspect if you're doing a 2" shackle / 1" lift, you'd be OK without having to shim the front end.

|jpdocdave||no not at all. but the hurdles will be the gas tank gets in the way on some jeeps of the rear bolts coming out, when you put the bolts back in just turn them around for easy removal later, and the other problem is the sleeve seizing inside the bushing. get new bushings at the same time.|

|94wrangleryj||hard to put on???|

|jpdocdave||they will do exactly what you want. its usually everyone's first mod on a yj. they will make your 31's fit just right. but keep in mind, it puts more pressure on the front of the spring, and with original springs they will be tired. its a good cheap way to boost it back up till you can decide what to do next.|

|94wrangleryj||you have them??|
