|sakicnut||Order Rock Krawler control arms today. Started with the front upper and lowers due to the fact that my current RC standard arm bushings are toast after Turkey Bay|

Well here's an update.
I sent the Aussie Locker back, decided to do steering
I went with RuffStuff Heim steering which uses DOM Tubing with Chromolly Heims. 1.25 inch round tie rod and drag link. Had to cut the swaybar links off because it puts it in a bind at full droop.
I also went with chromolly heim joint on Trackbar from RuffStuff.
Also bought synergy ball joints, moog wheel bearings, and new u-joints on D30 axle shafts. All done by Pure Insanity Offroad near Lebanon.
Me and friend did my brake lines from Pro-Comp, caliper on passenger side broke so we replaced both calipers.
The best part is I got to meet Carrie Underwood on my birthday!

Well Aussie is here
Ordered new thrust washers and cross shaft from Chase at East Coast Gear Supply. Great customer service I must admit. Hopefully the lube locker will be tomorrow.

So I need advice from people who installed the Aussie. Should I spend the extra $30 bucks to get a new cross pinion shaft and thrush washers?
And will I have to reflush my diff fluid after I get home?

|Ironazz||Went out and bought my 14 year old stepson an 89 YJ today. 2.5, manual, 127,512 original one owner miles. Jeep is in great shape, and needs only minor cleaning. I thought it would be a good first vehicle for him. I can teach him automotive and maybe some tips about life and decisions thrown in. Your write up made me remember all the great times I had working on my own Jeep, and I hope my son has as much fun as I did!|

|sakicnut||Talked to the former welder at Insanity Offroad in Dallas,TX today, meet him last week at Discount Tire in Lebanon. Was talking to him about the jeep and he is building me a custom tie rod with the same specs as currie if not better.|

I could do the full width swap liked cheaper than I could do chromo 30 with an 8.8.
It's just 35's are a big step up

|Ironazz||Man, just read your whole thread. Jeep is looking good. But, why are you still debating on the axles? You keep changing your mind. Just pick a set and go with it. Just my .02. I like the build though.|

I ended up trading my half doors for full doors for free!
I had the Bestop Half-Top which I do miss a little bit for a hardtop for $500. The new doors and top make this cold weather in TN right now perfect!
So I guess I've grown bigger balls and tried more stuff, or Drake is just tempting me more and more. But I broke my winch cable on our Topless Day ride because I almost rolled. Switched out to Synthetic Line from a Zeon Winch. Yes a Harbor Freight winch with Warn product on it, that's a first guys . Such a huge improvement over that stuid wire rope.
Here is some damage from a rock garden we found in our little town.

Boy do I have a lot to update on.
Well first off Seadog, Drake, and Me upgraded my brakes from autozone, got new rotors and brake pads. We also changed out the spark plugs, wires, and distrubtor cap. The ThermoQuiet brake pads from Autozone make a huge difference if anyone is interested!
Well here is where the jeep really took a turn. I spent around $1,500 in the matter of 24 hours right after graduation for the Smittybilt stuff i've always wanted. Got the XRC Fenders, Rear Classic Bumper with TC, XRC Rockers, and XRC Corner Armor. I must say this added around 250-350lbs to the jeep but it changed the look big time.
Thats the front view of the new fenders. Which are a pain to install considering all the cutting you have to do but dam these things are super strong.
Here is the tire carrier with that big 33. This was so simple to install but that dam bumper is solid so it weights quite a bit.
Here is the side view with the rockers and the corner armor. I must say the jeep looks totally different.

When I get time I'll post up the build pictures
In the debate to build a HP Dana 44 and Ford 9 so I can go full width and run 35's. Need input from everyone.
