Scout Looks like a great time. Been to Big Bend several times myself and it's really beautiful there. That makes me want to go back.

Big Bend National Park

Wow, got back from Big Bend NP a few days ago and it was an awesome trip! Talk about a beautiful park, and with 900,000 square acres of land, the adventures are limitless.

Richard (our Art Director) and myself spent 2.5 days out at the park and the four-wheel trails are not difficult but are certainly a joy to drive. With mountains and canyons surrounding you, it made the whole trip worthwhile. I certainly recommend the Old Ore Road, River Road, Black Gap Trail, and Glenn Springs Trail for those of you who haven't been to the park before. We also backpacked the South Rim of the park (13 mile hike), camped at a primitive site, and enjoyed the sunrise from what is considered one of the most beautiful vistas in any National Park. It was awesome!

I'll be writing all about the trip, including gear reviews for Garvin Industries, Adventure Trailers, Mountain Hardwear, and Thermarest in the next issue of JPFreek (due out early December) so check it out then:

In the meantime, here are a few photo links:

Take care, and happy Jeepin'!
