This would not be so much of a problem if the DT came in a 35x12.50r 15. I have the 33s and thay have 22000 miles on them. They still look like new and to me the best tire I have had in many years. Just whish they had a 35" in the DT tread. Is that to much to ask for?
Oh, almost forgot a pic. This is the Wall on the Imogene Pass trail near Ouray CO

|jeaoskibum||Nope the blame sits squarely on the lawyers that work at Discount Tire, they lack the ability to make a sound decision. They are mentally challenged attorneys who would probably make more $ by drafting some sort of release which I think is over kill.|

(I have the 33x12.50r15's and lvl 8 trackers on my Jk and DTD was great!)

Fyi - I am sure the DTD guys on here want to sell you all the tires as much as you want to buy them. I am also sure they know the issues everyone keeps bringing up about the differences in models and load rating. I am sure they know, as well as we all do these tires are safe for EVERYONES Jeep.
Arguing with them, or trying to convince them to say yes your right will not happen. They are doing what they have to do for their job. Its not their fault. They happen to be great people who have helped a lot of people on this forum. They are caught between a rock and a hard place because corporate made a change (or more likely found out what was going on and came down on these guys) and are making them enforce the load rating simply to avoid any excuse for a lawsuit.
Shoot, it is possible some selfish jerk actually did sue them and ruined it for us all. Thats who we need to be mad at

|Trendsetter75||Exactly, Ive notice other companies have the Duratracs and they sell them for the Wrangler JK or JKUs.|
|08-25-2014 10:10 PM|
shop by tire size and do it online.....
|08-25-2014 07:01 PM|
'Round and 'Round we go.....
Just because Discount Tire won't sell you the tires doesn't mean they are unsafe. Buy them elsewhere, or don't tell DTD what kind of vehicle you have.
|08-25-2014 06:21 PM|
To ensure your tires can carry at least the same amount of load as they can when the vehicle is purchased new, our standard for replacement tires is based off the weight the original tire carries when set at the placard air pressure.

Just order the Tire online and check out!
By the way, I also have the -30....they look awesome!!!!!!! If I would be you, I go for it.

|Trendsetter75||I have the Tracker 15x8 -30 wheels, all I need is the GY Duratracs 33/12.50/15. I didn't want to opt out of the Duratracs and go with BFG KM2, because I had the KM2s they are great in wet, dry, and treadwear but suck in the snow and noisy on highways.|

Can you answer this question regarding a load index? (it was already mentioned above)
All JKUs have the same Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (5500 LB). However, the load index of stock JKU sport is 104 and sport S is 113. 33x12.5x15 dura's is 108. It is clear that JKU can be safely run on the load index 104. I cannot understand your policy 33x12.5x15 is not recommended for sport S only because its load index is below 113. How about sport's?

|Dr. Evil||I have a 2010 Sport JK and purchased GYD's 33x12.50x15 with 15x8 Level 8 Trackers -19. The invoice said "33x12.50R15C2 108Q W GDYR Wrangler Dura Trac" and "15X8 5-127 -19MTB Lev Tracker MTB 88.5 JD". Why did I have no trouble with my phone order when I purchased in December?|

|TAG1||Or we help you on the specs and you order from DTD online, since they have a good promotion next week with around $300 Visa cards on a set of 4-5 tire and rims. On the Tire just go with the 33x1250x15 on the rim go with 15" and 127 5x5 hole pattern and a BS of 3.75 -19 or -30. The -19 will be near flush to your fenders, where the-30 will be out at about 2"more than the -19. From what I been reading on the last 92 pages is that you don't won't to go more in on the BS than 4 on a 15"x8"rim.....correct me guys if I'm wrong on this. But like Mike mention it's maybe time to buy somewhere else!|
|08-24-2014 06:48 PM|
|Espo78||What you do is BUY THE TIRES YOU WANT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Maybe if DTD loses enough sales they will change that stupid policy.|
|08-24-2014 11:51 AM|
You can even order the tire and the rim separate on the DTD web side no questions ask(don't put the car in - just order the tire and the rim).
Don't ask me what I think about there policy.....
it has nothing to do with your car, since Jeep overs the same car with a 104 index. The load index on your placard is for the 255 tire on your OEM rim specific, and not for aftermarket setup!

THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GOT FROM DTD:
Thank you for the confirmation. Based on that your Jeep came factory with the 255/75R-17 113 SRA tires so the 33x12.50R-15 DuraTrac is not an option per our load index requirements. If you want a 15"package you'll need to go with 35x12.50R-15 tires or 33x10.50R-15 tires. 32x11.50R-15 tires will work as well.

|Trendsetter75||I gave them DTD this info off my placard in my drivers side door jam. It says I have P255/75/17 Wrangler SRA front and rears with weight being 850lbs. If I were to have the LT255/75/15 BFG MT then I would be okay running with the 15" Duratracs. I have the Unlimited Sport and I see you guys have the Sahara, Rubicon, etc. Im just going by DTD saying that my stock tires doesn't meet the load range to run 15" Duras. They said I could run 16" with LT 285/75/16, so now Im confused what to do now. Does anyone have the same OE specs like I do in there door jam and running 33x12.50R15 Duratracs?|

|Dr. Evil||Thank God I received "The Combo" in December before all of this nonsense appeared on this thread. I guess I'm just lucky that my 2 door Sport hasn't blown up yet.|
|08-23-2014 04:20 PM|
|Espo78||Jesus. Go back and read the last 4 pages. It's been discussed over and over.|
|08-23-2014 02:58 PM|
|just in joy||Op did you go to a big box tire store they will not add certain tires on to wheels due to liability risk. I assume is the only reason they will not... But a few folks I know run that setup without issues but all got them installed and mom and pop tire shops.|
|08-23-2014 02:23 PM|
|marslim||I have not heard of a factory jk that cannot run this setup, I had it on my jk for a year before I moved up to bigger tires, I loved that setup though, just wanted more|

|08-23-2014 06:23 AM|
|Trendsetter75||I just found out I can't use the 33x12.50R15 with my JKU because of the placard in my door jam doesn't meet the criteria|

Please excuse the 6-lug Razor photo we have pictured on our site. We do not take shots of every single bolt pattern.
