Dana Strong Alright guys ,

Well I decided to just put the V6 back in for now and enjoy the truck while I gather all my V8 swap parts and while I build the 350 up. So now I have it ALL back toghther and drove it around the block for the first time. It pretty much steers like poop and the handeling is terriable ,but the ride is nice and smooth.

The weight of the blazer with just a V6 in it really drooped the YJ springs as seen in the picture below.

Here is some pics of the steering set up, ZJ pitman , YJ drag link

Just for fun an outside of the garage picture, it is pretty close to hitting the garage door and I still need bigger tires haha

Let me know what you think...

Dana Strong Alright guys not much has changed except I have all the brake lines ran and removed the ABS garbage.

One thing I have to get is that I hacked off the shock mounts on my d35 and I need something back on there for my shocks to hook to, anyone know of a web site or company that sells this ?

Thanks

Dana Strong Well here she is sitting on all fours and some how I got it to turn out pretty level.

I think I'm gonna add a leaf in the rear so that it will balance out more when the rig gets an engine. Thats about it for now. I will be adding shocks to it soon and still looking for the right high steer bracket and drag link.

Sorry also the tires on the rear in the pic are 31's so I think I'm gonna take the body lift out and just run 33's ???

Dana Strong I have to come around here more often, Thanks for the intrest everyone.

I do have a favor to ask thou.. Does anyone have an angle finder and if so could you check your front pinon angle for me? I beleve it is supposed to be at 6* and that it ends up with just a little bit of positive caster...

I have the rear D35 going in today as well I will post pics of that progress later today. I just wanna double check my front and rear pinon angles before I go welding the perches to the dang axle tubes.

I have also decided to swap out the D35 later down the road in favor of the 8.8 explorer rear, just because from what I've read it is a much better rear end.

On the front axle I am going to stay with the D30 and will being converting it to a one peice shaft and adding lockouts. Also I will be upgrading the U joints as well.

I guess that does it for now, Later Chuck
