GREEN-MACHINE try jacking from the frame on the left side,, as the jeep goes up the suspension well flex and you might get room to remove the plug.

Rancho Diff Cover - Tie rod / Fill plug access problem. HELP!

Embarassed to say, but I'm flat out stumped.

Anyone with a Rancho Diff cover on the front axle have any tips on how to access the fill plug?? Its placed perfectly behind my tie rod so I can't get a socket wrench wrench in the hole.

Was thinking about just taking a pair of vice grips to the part that protrudes out of the cover. Obviously don't wan't to damage the threads...but it's key not to over tighten anyways so that it doesn't contact the locker... Anyone done this before?

So frustrating. Any advice welcome! Thanks!
