|mrbigjeep||other than reading JP's article about it i don't have any experience with it but they seem to like it and i think kilby makes some good stout stuff.|

|TXoutlaw||Thanks for all the response... leaning towards the Kilby 50" front bumper now, you can mount a winch dirrectly to it, this way I will be set up for later when I buy a winch. Anybody have any experience with this bumper?|

|mrbigjeep||still make sure its what you want and it is functional for you or your just waistin $$$ to replace it.|
|11-13-2006 08:09 AM|
exactly. that's $.02 well spent.

Wheelin' friend of mine has them on his CJ (which is anything but a mall cruiser)...not my cup of tea either. But indeed it's all about what YOU like...not what anyone else likes IMO. Example: Here's one of my friends CJ with short tubes. They look fine to me on his rig.
Vs. My TJ (which I also wanted something different)
Go for what you like though...and the heck with others. If you find they aren't function for your uses, then replace it.
Just my $.02

|hardy1531||Me? no I have the stock bumpers minus the "Jugs".... for now.|
|11-11-2006 04:40 PM|
|mrbigjeep||do you buy any chance have tube bumpers on your jeep?|
|11-11-2006 04:14 PM|
|hardy1531||Tube bumpers give you better flex. and the weight to speed ratio decreases so you will get better gas mileage too. lol|
|11-11-2006 12:40 AM|
which = SPEED

|11-09-2006 04:41 PM|
|activelydying||come to think of it though, i just took the sahara stickers off and i think because of the decrease in weight, i may be getting better gas mileage.|

|tiny terror||Try the sticky side down.|
|11-09-2006 04:24 PM|
|Scout||My stickers didn't make me go any faster?!?! Did I put them on wrong?|
|11-09-2006 04:11 PM|
|activelydying||hey thanks tiny, and stickers do make a vehicle go faster.|
|11-09-2006 04:09 PM|
then you're the best kinda guy
hey Outlaw, don't forget huge fins
|11-09-2006 04:08 PM|
Isn't that the same as plastering a honda civic with stickers to make it go faster...
|11-09-2006 04:06 PM|
|activelydying||i guess i'm just a simple man with simple tastes.|
|11-09-2006 03:56 PM|
|tiny terror||I was partial to them too, until I saw some of Rokman's bumpers.|
|11-09-2006 03:53 PM|
|activelydying||gotcha. when you're done with the rule book, could you pass it on. i still like those bumpers.|
|11-09-2006 03:49 PM|
Jeeps that only touch pavement put have extras to make them look as though they offroad.
When am I getting a copy of the rule book, I missed some classes while I was out getting pizza and SimpleScout's notes suck.
|11-09-2006 03:44 PM|
|activelydying||i honestly don't think they look that bad. what exactly is a poser jeep, just want to make sure.|
|11-09-2006 03:20 PM|
Saw a jeep with tube bumpers when I was at lunch... Didn't like as much as I thought I would... Didn't look functional like 04tjinsa stated.
Scratched it from my wish list

I thought I remembered someone asking about this awhile back.
|11-09-2006 12:25 PM|
I have them and now wish I had gotten something more functional like a stinger. But it is all about what you like.
|11-09-2006 12:12 PM|
|daddyjeep||Personally I don't like them. You see them too much on poser Jeeps. I do like what Vector6 did to his though. It at least sets it apart from all the others.|
