If you have a full 4" over stock, your backspacing on your wheels is around 3.25-4.25, and your tires are 12.5" wide then yes, it should work great. Your going to have to go out and flex your suspension to see if the tires hit the fenders and add bumpstop to compensate.
I would rather see you run just the 4" suspension lift, but some people will say add 1" of body lift, which is still a lot better than 3".
I say drop it to the 4", off road it, and if it rubs just a little, throw an inch on.

|Jrzymilitia||Little off topic but I had 4inch suspension and a 3inch body..If I take out the body lift could the 35's still fit?|

|mike76201||Yes, I was thinking that the 12.50 width would be too much for the 8" rim...anyone doing this (12.50 w/8")...thanks for all of the input!|

|[TheYJGuy]||I think that if you're using 12.5 wide tires then you should go with 10" wide wheels.|

|jpdocdave||i say don't pass up the tires, put them on and keep it easy till you do 4" lift. then you'll have a nice set up.|

|1BLKJP||With fender flares and no trimming you will probably get some rubbing at full flex no matter how long of shocks you have. However if you got a great deal in my mind the negatives don't outweigh the positives.|

|NalinMFG||take a peek at the LCG(low center of gravity)thread, if youre into that then 33's and 2" is a very good start!|

|flattietj||yeah....youll get some rubbing but it will really be up to whether you can stand it.......what your sharp turns also....the tires may rub on your lcas|

|mike76201||Thanks wave...Bartlett my old stomping grounds!!!!|

|01-06-2009 02:11 PM|

33x12.50 on 15x8 2" lift GOOD OR BAD IDEA?
I found a great deal on 5 33x12.50x15 tires, I have a 2" suspension lift and all of the fitment charts say up to 32x11.50. I am going to do a 4" lift in the spring...is using this size tire a bad idea prior to the 4" lift?? btw...I will be using cragar 15x8 soft 8s with 4" backspace...thanks!!
