Arel11 Can anyone tell me if the tires on the 10a are the same size as the X and Hard Rock? They look bigger on the 10a for some reason. Maybe it's the white lettering...

I will be using Spidertrax 1.5 inch spacers, otherwise they would not fix. I know I saw someone with a 10a with 35's that ran about a month or so with 35's with no rub on the streets. I plan on getting my lift next month but make a decision on the lift is worse than deciding on the Jeep itself.

BSheppard Just a gratuitous picture of my 10AE because I still love it after a year of ownership and 14k miles.

Currently averaging 10.1 with city driving and offroad, which is about a 2 gpm drop from stock (still 1st tank of gas since the mod, so not super accurate). Rebel Offroad is recommending 4.88 or 5.13s to get the gpm back up, but would sacrifice the top speed. Might add that to my phase II list. Overall the jeep drives great. The Toyo's pull to the right a bit. Still figuring out the adjustable shocks.
I regeared from 4.10 to 5.13 when I added the 37s and I'm getting about 16mpg with highway/offroad use

active_Eng29 Question: for those of you who have sold your stock 10a wheels and suspension, what was the going price? I had 17,000 on my jeep before taking off the wheels and suspension. Thanks.

They're doing a complete tear down. From what I understand is that they go through a bunch of steps before they get to this point. If each step fails then a full replacement/tear down is authorized.

I think it would look great painted red on an anvil 10a.
I made my own from lathing material at Home Depot, fit it around the hood latch and painted it red - on a black Rubi10A.

Here's the thread with pics - http://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/10...ml#post6639706

I bought the same one from a different china seller on Ebay for my 10A with Mopar hood lock and have no complaints. A little bit of a tight fit but stays put without any installation hardware.

If you really want to do this, make your own. Cost me about $10 with parts from Home Depot. I have the write-up and details back earlier in this thread.....actually in the 10th Anniversary mods thread

Can you get a close-up pic. I was going to install mine this weekend (not a 10A hood tho...) and want to see the issue people are having... Thanks!
