Wattapunk I wouldn't recommend the Hydros. They are rough riding and bouncy. I really like my current Rancho 9000's that I can adjust to my liking. OME and Bilsteins are 2 others I would recommend. Just make sure to buy the correct length to match your 4" lift.

TXST8tj Call RC and ask for the newer N2.0 shocks. They are beginning to phase out their lower quality shocks. They are selling the N2.0s separate from kits, but do not have them listed separate on the site. They are only a dollar or two more than the 9000s.

I won't bother trying to convince you to buy better shocks. If you wanted to spend $80/shock instead of $30/shock, we would be having a different conversation.

Ask for the N2.0s.

Rubicondon53 If you are lifted 2" or less go with stock shocks. You mentioned money was an issue?? Monroe Sensatrac provides a better ride than stock, and they don't cost an arm or leg.. I installed them last winter, I considered expensive shocks but passed on them as an OME suspension is in my jeeps near future, and didnt want to waste money on better shocks, only to replace them this spring. I'm pretty sure that Ranchos are made by Monroe..

Thomas302 Don't go with cheap shocks. I researched shocks for awhile and decided on the wrangler bilstein 5100's. They are only around 80.00 a shock plus or minus a few dollars. The rancho 9000xl's are another shock with great reviews. Do some research but don't cheap out on shocks. Your jeep and back will thank you. Lol

SkyJacker vs Rough Country Shocks

i need new shock for my jeep, i dont have tons of money so i was looking at the cheaper shocks and cant decide between SkyJacker Softride Hydro Shock and Rough Country Nitro 9000 shock I think theres a difference of less than $6 so price with these two isnt a big deal
