dixau11 Use a bandsaw bud!^ and I think I'll just leave the lift on it. Someday I'll have a flawless jeep, but As of 19 and in college it will be a while

Wattapunk By the time you pay for the hardware and tools needed, time measuring/cutting, it will cost almost for a new BL kit. I also wouldn't recommend reusing any parts from the old BL. Take it from a guy who tried to trim a hockey puck with a table saw for my 33" spare tire mount, I almost lost my thumb when the saw kickbacked and sliced my left thumb. I can't imaging a BL puck being any easier.

thedaringmove Go to a specialty bolt store and get grade 8s that are the right length/size to replace the body mount ones that are going to be too long. you can find the right length by looking up a "whats included" for a 1.25 BL. Then use a table saw to cut down the pucks. That will make them the perfect length. And the radiators gonna be a *****. At least mine was. The stupid brackets are tough to get to and take frickin forever to remove.

Wattapunk Be alot less time consuming and buy a JKS 1.25" BL that comes with new bolts, radiator supports and T-shifter bracket. If you don't want to mess with the bracket and radiator shroud, then now would be a good time to add an MML. You may have to shorten the fuel filler hose. Only jack up and work on one side at a time to prevent the tub from shifting. Jack up, remove the 3" pucks/bolts, insert the new ones and lower. Should be an easy swap. Why risk injury trying to cut down the pucks/bolts.

I don't have any pictures of the bracket but if you look in your front driver side wheel well you will find it. It's between the frame and the steering shaft.

jameslee97206 I would replace it with a new 1 to 1.25 inch body lift, comes with new bolts. There's a little more removing the 3 inch BL than the link enemy posted. There will be a bracket on the steering shaft that needs to be removed ( front driver side wheel well ), radiator will need to be adjusted as well as fuel filler hoses.

How to remove a body lift?

So I have the dreaded 3" body lift.. I would like to cut them down to 2" or 1.75" any tips? What steps should I take In removing the mounts? I'm clueless. Just jack up the body?
