Imped Those won't do crap for you.

Gears will help out quite a bit but your power-robbing slushbox 32rh isn't helping the problem either. Go drive a manual-equipped TJ and it'll feel like a jet plane compared to what you've got.

4.56 gears would be the normal recomended ratio for your transmission/engine/tire combo.

the difference between your jeep and the OPs is that he is on 35s. that is a huge differance. no amount of bolt on engine parts will do him any good in getting him back to stock performance.

srad600 Despite the price the best bang for your buck is going to be gearing. There is nothing short of building the motor, or using forced induction that will get back the loss from the added weight and rotational mass. In the car world in always a fan of all the bolt on mods. Not worth the time or money with the jeep tho. The gains are too minimum and some are worse for wheeling.

Good luck.

TJspeed Regearing is the best way to gain power.

Someone will chime in and give a more detailed answer.

Garrowcr223 Yeah I mean I wast sure how well they would if they did at all. But do you know of anything other than that? Besides Droppin 304 in it or anything?

TJspeed Everyone on here will tell you none of those things will work. I'm looking at replacing my "cai" that the previous owner in stalled with the stock air intake.

Horsepower and torque uprades..

I've got the 4.0 in my tj, I'm runnin 35's and stock gears so it's obviously a little sluggish. I've been lookin at the cold air intakes and throttle body spacers, exhausts, and all that good stuff. But was just wantin some opinions on all that or what other things I could do. Any opinions or ideas will be much appreciated!!
