jconway Thanks, tangofox. (And for teaching me it's called the heater flap!)

Do I have to remove the core to access that flap? AND, is it something i should just replace? or repair?

If both heater hoses are hot, the problem would most likely be the heater flap.

Heater Core problem

My 2002 Wrangler X heater will not blow hot air! It blows fine, but the air is barely warm. Once the engine warms, all the hoses are hot to the touch.

I've flushed my (admittedly dirty and rusty as heck) radiator a few times, hoping that would clean it up, to no avail. One guy thinks maybe thermostat; or water pump (maybe); another guy thinks the valve controlled by temp gauge is not opening. Any tips/ideas? Did I mention that i have no back windows? Brrrrrr.....
