Thanks for the response
Yeah, I've checked the bulb and it's ok. The fuse is ok too. He tells me it's not getting an electrical current to the bulb and it's a circuit that's located within the steering column (??). Yeah, I'm now looking for a door instead of dealing with the window thing. I spoke to a guy at an off-road shop and he told me the same as the dealer - it's a huge pain in the butt and lots of labor involved. So, if anyone has a white, full driver's side door for a 95 YJ let me know!

Stay far away from that mechanic.
Stupid question. Have you checked the turn signal bulb? Even if the builb is good, this is an easy fix. Likely a broken ground wire or something like that.
I've seen entire doors for sale on ebay for less than that. I don't know anything about your door window. I imagine it's probably something you could fix or replace yourself though.

95 YJ window regulator and signal problems!!
My driver's side window has decided that it will not go up anymore. At the same time, my right signal isn't working either. It still makes a clicking sound in the car but no lights either on the interior or exterior come on. I took it into the mechanic today and they said it would cost about $800 to fix these two things. Well, I'm a poor student and there is no way I can afford this. My question is, are these things that I could attempt to fix myself (keep in mind I have no clue what I'm doing)? They said the problem with the window was the regulator and the problem with the signal is not a fuse or bulb issue, but a circuit within the steering column. Does this sound at all familiar to those of you who know this stuff? Thanks for any help you can give!!
