RUBI 4 MY MRS Here is a link to (among other good things) factory parts manuals. The section you need is 008-705. It lists the PCM by 2.5 & 4.0 as well as manual & auto & the 4 emission packages. Note that the first 5 #s are the same & the last 5 are what matters to you.

I had to give my core back and never wrote down the number.

Also, is it all the same for anything between 97-02? Can i use a computer from a 97 in my 2000?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your going to need something from 97-99. I believe jeep switched manuals in 2000.

RUBI 4 MY MRS Sounds like they gave you a PCM (ECM) for an auto trans jeep. Same problem that guys run into when they swap from an auto to manual trans & don't change the PCM. It is still looking for the converter lock up signal.

HELP - Throwing Code P0743

So, I have a 2000 TJ, 2.5L 5 Spd Manual. Couple months ago i had some issues with Voltage and the fix Found was to replace the ECM. Went to Local Auto Parts Store ($250), ordered a new one and installed a couple days later. This seemed to fix the issue with the Voltage, however, the check engine light came on.
Error Code P0743:

P0743 (M) Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid/ Trans Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid control circuit (3 or 4-speed auto. trans. only).

Next Logical thought was that I do not have a torque converter on a Manual Transmission.

Long story short, Went back and forth about 3 times, re-flash from the store, new unit from the MFG company, still no luck.

My question is, does this seem like something that can be fixed with the current computer? or should i just try another source of the unit to see if i am having the same issue?

Vehicle tends to stall coming down from higher RPM's. Seems that it has to do with this issue, the idle has not been right since the new ECM

Thanks for the help in advance
