Lando25 When you were stuck in the mud I assume you were using the clutch? You could have gotten some mud packed where it shouldn't be. You could try washing it out, may not help but couldn't hurt trying.

Ax15 downshift click

Hello all. Yesterday I did some wheeling at the local offroad park and found myself stuck in some mud. As I was trying to rock myself out, I heard a couple clicks (couldn't tell where they were coming from) but didn't think much of it. Anyway, while driving it today I noticed that I get a clicking noise whenever I downshift. The clicking seems to correspond to the speed of the driveshaft and seems to be coming from inside the tranny. Any ideas as to what this might be? I also have a squeaky u-joint from this trip, but I believe it is unrelated. I have a 97 4.0 4" lift for what it's worth. As always, thanks a ton for the help!
