89quest Sorry you were unable to finish, but I'm looking forward to seeing it when you do.Im taking this winter to bring "Little Red" up to snuff a little at a time as the wallet can handle it.Hopefully by then all the lipstick & jewelry will be done..When I start I will post progress with some pics.

Beach-Bum Wasn't able to install it before I went back to sea. It was raining and my only work space is my driveway
12-09-2012 03:41 PM
89quest Yes Im still here and have been reading your progress any and all pics are a true blessing at this point.I still haven't got a definative answer on 6" flares that follow the rear fenderwell on an 89yj.Talked to bushwacker, morris and a bunch of others it seems its taken for granted that you cut the rear fenderwell out, or you paint it all black where it shows the side panel thats left showing, under the flare. There must be a 6" flare that follows the rear fenderwell on an 89yj, I just haven't found it yet.

Beach-Bum Woke up to rain. It's supposed to clear up so maybe I'll start working on the fronts later. I almost want to wait till I can do all 4. But that means after Christmas. We'll see what time I finish my errands

Hmmmm. I read the instructions and I was pretty sure there was cutting involved. Good to know.

I only paid $250 for these used and their in mint condition. Oh and I bought a coworker a $25 bottle of booze for picking it up for me since it was in jersey and I live on long island.

I'm so psyched to do this tomorrow

BAP canty wait to see the pics of your new flare,s--i really like the looks of those in the quaratrack add,s..

i yanked my flares off the other day wasnt to bad when i found the cut off wheel worked great on the little plastic nuts,,zipped them all off in 15 minutes and my flare,s are still good as new--lol....if i put flare,s back on they will be tube,s or the ones like you just got..

Beach-Bum idk what brand they are, they were on the jeep when i bought it. apparently the double as rocker armor and steps... i have them set up as steps (dont think my daughter can get in without them) but they can be flipped around to act as rocker armor.

My rocker panel is painted with bedliner, im gonna do custom black diamond plate where i painted black eventually

tigerblood you may want to read the whole thread. perhaps he said something about his rockers in there...
12-03-2012 06:33 PM

89quest Im anxious to see the flares on, Im the one looking for flares that follow the outline of the rear fenders.Nice job getting the old ones off, I like the rockers blacked out.Can you take pics of the rear ,at this point Im willing to spend the extra if I can find ones that "FIT" the outline of the rear fender well.Keep the pics comming Im in!!!
