|Bettyblue||Well, Bales auto in Jeffersonville Indiana managed to take 3days to install a cat on my TJ. The first day they said they had to run test on the cat to determine if it was bad. The test took all day. Even though my cel light said it was a restricted cat. Then it took a day to order it and have it sent to the shop. Then another day to put it on. If its not done today, I'm gonna need a getaway driver! I've had 2 cats replaced on 2 different vehicles and they took about an hour to replace.|

|jtbaker1911||guys i believe its all about who the dealer hires. I work at a chrylser dealership and I try and go above and beyond my standards of what my job requires. When i replace a tire monitor, i always check the balance. If i rotate tires, all 4 tires will get washed off(not just with a rag, but with soap and water). Our service managers even call customers after a large repair to see how things are going. Not all dealerships are bad. Some care about customers and want them to return.|

I just ordered mine yesterday. My intention is to transfer my warranty to a dealership 2 miles from my house. I liked their work when I had my '08 JKS.
I just didn't like the sales side of the house.

I love my MINI and kind of wish BMW would buy Jeep....hehehe.
When I ordered my '12 CMS All4 they gave me a brand new '11 to drive for the 5 months it took to get built, the exact way I wanted it, supposed to be 3 months but whatever I was still driving a brand new MINI.

Not good! I'm not looking forward to dealing with Jeep Dealers. My BMW experience is so above and beyond the call of duty. I took my Mini in for service about a month ago. The service rep came up to me and told me all the recalls and standard maintenance they had to do would take several hours, so they gave me a loaner mini. About an hour later the service rep called me and said my state inspection was due and did I want them to do it while they did the other stuff.
That is the kind of service you should be getting, especially since I'm paying the same for my Jeep. No wonder most people don't return for additional service.

My Local Jeep dealer acts like they know everything...."about wranglers" Well I tested them .....I cannot believe that they actually can sell people on there knowledge. The sales manager who I know has an account on here says he is an expert in aftermarket jk parts knows absolutely nothing. I bought the mopar 4" lift and was told that it includes everything I need to make my jkur off road worthy! So I was like control arms? and all? Him "yes everything" Me Cool. Can I get that in paper.....I never got it in paper and then guess what.....Lift is installed and no controllers lol.
But you see he shot himself in the foot because I asked him about 8 times and left emails and phone calls about what I thought it would all include....He left me a v-mail saying that I do get the control arms even know they are not part of the kit lol It was fun seeing them trying to think of multiple excuses as to why they can't do it. Even there parts "top mechanic" guy comes out and acts very calm and says we don't install control arms on lifts unless they are 6" or more.....I say the funny thing is you don't even sell a mopar 6". The room got quiet lol.
What would you guys do knowing you have a voicemail saying what I was all getting? just curious what you would all say?

What dealer was this? I'm looking at buying an unlimited rubi in a couple months. I've looked at local dealers in the BBB, and they all look pretty good. I've been asking them tons of stupid questions. Just so they know who I am!

|1quick1||I get the impression they have absolutely no interest on servicing your vehicle or really addressing your concerns. It's more find the absolute quickest answer you'll accept and leave. And this is from my experience at 5-6 different Jeep dealerships in 3 states.|

When I installed my 35s and new rims I opted out of TPMS and the light didn't come on for a few days. I started to think the guys at the garage put them in and I got a great deal on some free TPMS. Not the case...
I hate the dealers. I bought mine from a certain dealer just because they had one I liked and messed up on the quote and gave me the Jeep at cost.
My friend is a Service Manager at the other dealer and couldn't touch the price.
I also asked the dealer on swapping out my gears...hahahah the SM there told me I had to swap axles and would cost me 4-6 grand....
I am a mechanic by trade and laughed at him. I told him I have the parts and just want you guys to install them, he got the head mechanic and he said they cannot do it....they need to swap the whole axle.....what a joke.
I told my friend (service manager) this story and he laughed and just shook his head.
This is a new dealer that used to sell Saab and Saturns, so they have no idea about Jeeps or trucks, just a bunch of oil changers.
If you sell the most modified 4x4 in history you need to support the lifestyle or loose business.
On the other hand my wife drives a '12 Mini Cooper Countryman and the Mini/BMW dealer is outstanding. They come pick up my car for service, wash it and deliver it back to the house. I had a windshield replaced by a glass company and they even picked it up had the windshield done, cleaned, washed the car and brought it back, and organized the insurance info.
They also support my mods, and look foward to seeing the car to see what I have done. They are even going to remove my ECU, send it to be performance tuned and reinstall it, and cover if somthing happens.
Get Chrysler to give that kind of service.....NEVER.

|KittyPrawn||I purchased from Safford of Springfield. Younes Bekkali was my sales rep. I will say that I did know more about the vehicle than he did, but he didn't get annoyed when I told him something wasn't correct (such as charging me for heated seats with the leather seats). He sold me my Jeep, and the one my ex bought before me. They're also very order friendly, if they don't have one on the lot. I didn't have to push the issue, he was happy to suggest putting in an order to get the exact vehicle I wanted.|

|MikeyFTL||My dealer gave me a year of oil changes but I doubt I'll use them. I don't trust them to do anything except maybe a major mechanical repair. They'd probably forget to put the drain plug back on correctly. If you want something done right...|

My current salesman wished me a happy birthday. This was after the sale was done and he wasn't getting any more money out of me. Some places still know how to treat a customer, and it is worth your time and energy to deal with those places.

I remember driving 40 + thousand American pickup truck and bringing it for service, so they could treat me as peace of dirt.
And at the time wife had 30 + thousand BMW, and they are throwing red carpet for her, each and every time she comes for any type of service (even for free oil change).

Find another dealer for service.
There is 3 Jeep dealership fairly close to where I live. One will rip you off and nothing more then high pressure sales and poor service. They will even lie about what you need.
One is ok but not nothing to brag about
While one is one of the best dealerships that I have ever worked with with excellant customer service.
It's sad that Chrysler allows such wide range of customer service. But if you look around, you can find one.

|Qdogfox||Sounds like you need a different dealer. Mine sold me a new 2012 with 2013 Rubicon wheels and sensors. When I asked they had me bring it in and changed them all out no questions asked. Great experience so far.|

|dcole||Sorry you don't like the explanation, but it is in the 2010 Wrangler manual. I don't know why it says it takes that long. Once I had the new sensors installed the light went out shortly after I started driving home. Anyway, the Jeep is fixed now, just have to get the tires re-balanced. Still no charge to me.|

|dcole||Nope. The dealer told me that the light would go off after I drove about 50 kms (34 miles) since they just put air in the tires. The light did not go off after that time so I returned with the vehicle only to find that the sensors were not in the tires to begin with. All of which was beyond my control at the time. I would not have taken it home if they had no explanation for the dash light, that would have been very stupid on my part.|

Also, I wouldn't purchase from a dealership that didn't treat me like gold when I walked in the door. It's actually a big reason why I changed my mind from the original dealer I wanted to work with. I'm not sure it is fair to blame the dealer if the consumer is the one letting them get away with nonsense.
