rs90808 My dad took his JK to Desert Rat for a lift and wheels/tires. He was very happy with them. As for just wheels and tires, you can find better deals though. I ended up going with TirePro. They actually advertise on Craigslist...but they have a couple locations in Phoenix now. Family owned. Good people and great prices!

cub_driver I've had real good luck with 4 wheelers supply. The make front and rear bumpers there that are as stout as you ever need. The rear bumper with swing out tire carrier is the best I've seen.

Jeeprich25 Bought my rims and tires from desert rat on bell rd. The prices were much better than the discount tire across the street. I managed to pick up a set of blemished Coopers with rims for a little under a grand. They were helpful and I'd go back.

All jacked up in Surprise moved from behind the emissions place to the Southeast side of the Bell/Grand intersection last i saw. And I know toys by Troy's shop has been closed for a while but i head he was still modding rigs from his personal garage. IDK, your guess is as good as mine?

Wheels and tires i advise Discount tire ALWAYS. You won't regret it! Hit me up if you wanna go tool around on some trails in the area!

X2 I've had some very helpful, knowledgeable counter people and then some who are still "learning on the fly".

I went over there yesterday. Awesome to work with. The guy really took the time tonwork things up and find a perfect combo. I gotta check finances but eventually doing a 2.5 teraflex and wheels/tires. Its about 4,500 so have to save up a bit after the silly season.

xdbltrblx Desert rat has some good deals from time to time. Most places don't have a lot of mark-up on tires so its hard to get a killer deal so you almost have to shop around and price match with whoever is the cheapest with the place that's close to you.
12-05-2012 11:18 PM
xdbltrblx Yeah I've heard great things about absolute. Toys by Troy, last I heard, wasn't open anymore but I could be wrong. Haven't heard much about him lately. It's a shame he had some cool stuff. All jacked up was on bell road but unless they moved that place is closed.

Finley What's a good price to you? I'm looking at about $2,000 from Discount. Can do way better than that in the valley...

Matt13 I've heard great things of Absolute Offroad but haven't used him....yet

Matt13 I've heard they have good prices on combos, but can't speak from experience. They do have good prices in general I think.

Yeah Im done with Craigslist! Not sure on size...when I move back out there just thought about having them set it up with a lift and wheels. I saw online that they had some huge sale on wheels and tires and they had a pretty good price on 5 of the Rockstars with the Mickey Thompson muds.

Phoenix Question

Hello. Might be moving back in December for a job. Looking for wheels/tires. Came across a company called "Desert Rat Offroad" that apparently has a few locations. Anyone heard of them?? Good or bad?

Thanks.
