BFGoodrich tires don't seem to like Joshua Tree much

Old Dale Rd. (near Mission Well) Tire Change

After this photo was taken, I sold the BFG tires and went back to Interco TrXus MTs.

My good friend Mike on Gold Crown Road - near Hwy 62

Mike on the same exact spot in his YJ back in '06

Brooklyn Mine Jeep Trail - East of Old Dale Road and OK Mine Trail
This guys Ford Explorer blew out a Pro-Comp X Terrain tire when this photo was taken

I'm heading out to this area on January 5th with Justruns4WD Club. Hit me up if you want to do a trail ride with us!

Made it down without a scratch ( except on the skidplate ) or getting stuck. Did shake loose a speaker on the roll bar, and may need to re-tighten the dash, otherwise a great time!

I use a Garmin 60CSX GPS. Uses Garmin Basecamp to download it on the computer. It's pretty cool to be able to go back and see where you missed that turn or whatever.

We did the lower part ( Dillon Rd to just past the mining camp ) a few years ago on a Hummer tour.....
Perhaps a bit much for our maiden tour, but it is on the list!
..... And getting stuck in the sand, probably something else we may want to avoid for now.

Hehe no, It's a pretty cool trail though. It's like that all the way to the top of the mountain where it dead ends. There are some pretty cool views from up top. At the base where the trail starts there are some fun sand dunes to play in. I got stuck there

It's definitely a cool area that I would visit again.

Any other thoughts?
Thanx
Rick
