TripleNickle Let us know what you find out, my 4x4 light does not work either, doesnt really bother me but if its a simple fix Ill do it.

Shua101 I will have to check the bulb and sensor! The bulb is a sealed unit with the cluster if I remember right
12-12-2012 02:11 PM
geiman If you disregard the light showing up, does the t-case actually shift properly? The light not working is fairly common.
12-12-2012 02:07 PM
Jeeper4life Maybe the bulb in the dash is burn't out? or maybe the t-case position sensor is bad?

Shua101 Nope no such luck. Looking for a way to fix
12-09-2012 02:02 PM
Jeeper4life Does it come on at all as you move the shifter?
12-09-2012 12:28 PM
Shua101 No not at all! I can get it into 4low and get it to lock in (but still no light)!!
12-08-2012 02:10 PM
Jeeper4life do they come on at all? Just not at the right times of the shift pattern? If so its probbely because your linkage is all out of whack.

Shua101 So I'm putting this amazing product in my tj, anybody know if the had dash light up problems after installing(4wd light) have an 4"as plus 1.5" bl on my TJ and right now the lights don't work because of the problem engaging the transfer case.

Trendsetter75 Where can I purchase the Novak Cable from, that has it the cheapest? Are TJ and LJ's the same size cable?

aTX427 Love mine - shifts smooth, but hard to figure out what gear it's in.

Jeeper4life Cool thanks, looking forward to getting this on and doing some wheelin!

TripleNickle Both the mounting brackets that hold th e cable have fittings you can adjust. Also where it mounts to the shifter arm on the transfer case. Once u install everything you will be able to tell what needs to be adjusted and how much. Remember to lossen the side of the fittings in the direction you want the cable to move.

Jeeper4life So my kit came today, have a question though, were at on the cable do you make adjustments if needed once its installed?

Jeeper4life Cool, I hope the install will go pretty smooth then, I'm so tired of fighting with my stock linkage..

What didn't you tighten up all the way?

doclouie No it did not take a bunch of adjusting. They make it so easy to adjust things too so it maybe took 15-20 minutes.
12-05-2012 09:37 PM
Jeeper4life Did it take a lot of adjusting to get everything just right?
12-05-2012 09:06 PM
TripleNickle Very easy to install! I highly recommend getting one. Thanks for the feed back.

doclouie I have one and yes it is a great product that is made in Utah. Very easy to install and so much better than stock. You should feel a slight difference when it goes from 2 wd to 4 high to 4 low. Yes the smoothness is normal and it is oh so nice.
12-05-2012 08:44 PM
G54 It is much easier to shift than the stock shifter, but you should still be able to feel it lock into each position.
12-05-2012 08:38 PM
Jeeper4life I will be getting ready to install one, was it hard to install and get adjusted right?

Novak Transfercase Cable Shifter Question

I just installed my Novak Cable shifter on my NP231. I have to say what an amazing product. HUGE difference. It shifts like butter now. So my question is: Is it normal that mine shifts so smooth, its hard to distinguish from 4 hi from neutral or 4 lo. I know you shoudl be able to look and tell by the position of the shift lever, but I could barely tell when I changed between gears. Thanks in advance for all feed back.
