Kauka, the bumper is the Smittybilt SRC or RRC and I got a steal on it from 4WheelParts.com with free shipping as I picked it up in Jacksonville. They also have the rear bumpers on sale, and the shocks. Kind of like a year end clearance deal I think.
G-Pur, I have a 4" Pro-Comp suspension lift, but with Skyjacker Hydro shocks, and a Skyjacker Hydro steering stablizer. The Pro-Comp shocks were worn out. The tires are 33" x 12.50's. I was thinking about going higher with a 1" body lift and a 1" engine lift, but don't think I am going to do it just yet...

What size tires and lift are you running. It looks like a 4" lift with 35s. Is that right? I've got the same color rig and it's good to see it looking so big. Nicely done.

The handle latch...If it is to loose and comes latched ,,, take a pair of vice grips and lock them down on the latch handle. And take it off......it's screwed in. Just turn it counter clockwise. The intire latch will fall out when you remove the bar.
You can use a larger spring or simply use something as a spacer to give more tension to the spring ....reinstall.....POOF....latched fixed.
As for the rubber bumper...you can simple use spacers as you did but place a small washer on the head of the screw to prevent it from pulling through.
I threw the screw away and used a small bolt and washer with a thicker piece of rubber.

Man, I am open to any help, particularly about de-rattling this bumper and keeping it locked!
I have tried shimming the rubber stop that came with the rear bumper with washers, and that worked well until the screw head pulled through the rubber stop. Then, I used a rubber door stop that I trimmed down, but it still allows enough movement for the thing to unlatch itself on heavy bumps. I even tried shimming the spring to add more tension with poor results.
Help me pleeeease!!

|GrnTJ||Lookin good man. I have always liked the simplicity and looks of that rear bumper. Had a friend with the front bumper and he loved it too. They tie your TJ together very well though.|

Smittybilt bumper pics (finally!)
Okay, so I posted the thread about the Smittybilt rear bumper install, and Whitey J wanted pics, so here are the pics of both Smittybilt bumpers on my 2002 Wrangler!
I ultimately replaced all of the bolts I could with grade 8 hardware, and I have been working on replacing the rubber bumper stop on the tire carrier on the rear to end the rattling and opening itself issues... Still working on that stuff, but overall I like these bumpers.
The third brakelight cost me every bit of $6 from Tractor Supply...
So, whaddaya think?
