You are more than welcome here but I just want to let you know this is a forum for Jeep Wranglers. The forum members here drive Willys Jeeps, CJs and Wrangler models YJ, TJ and JK so you may not get the answers you are looking for on your Cherokee.
All that being said, it sounds to me like you may have something plugged in the enging block and/or heads.

Hello from Florida 1995 cherokee country I-6 2wd(runs hot)
I got a 1995 jeep cherokee country 4door, 2wd and I love it but I am having some issues it purrs and idles fine, drives well, but tends to get around 210F-215F while idling ( it goes to about 220-225ish while towing a decent sized trailer) and cools right down when you get moving past 30mph. I have replaced the radiator with a 2 row/core one. I have changed all hoses and flushed the system, replaced thermostat(180F or 185F I don't remember) and water pump a year ago and before that it sat for 2 years or more years. The clutch fan is original and seems to be good. The electric fan comes on at 212F or when I have a/c on. I am out of ideas. I need some more help to figure it out.
