Smizar If that's a California vehicle it won't pass smog..even if it has an exemption for the 401 from the BAR it doesn't have the right equipment on the engine..

div4gold Someone spent a lot of money on that Jeep. It looks good but you need to see how it is mechanically, maybe get a mechanic to check it out .

90DesertTanYJ The 401 made it into a few Waggoneers and Gladiators but most likely was scrounged from an AMC car of some type.

4Jeepn before I spent 12k on that CJ i would look around, even out of state, for a 2003/2004 TJ rubicon which can be found close to that price.

Dempsey Looks pretty good but you need to find out some things.

First, it has a AMC V8 which isnt factory. What size is it and what tranny is behind it. Also does the wiring, etc. look ok
Second, does it have the dana 44 rear axle they put in some of them in '86 only?
Third, I would want to know axle gearing and if it has any lockers.
Fourth, is it a fiberglass or steel tub? Any rust? I expect it doesn't.

12k around here is pretty good chunk of change for a CJ. It has several upgrades I can see. Bumpers, wheel/tires, interior stuff. But I would want to know what you can see as easy.

Yet, another possible CJ7 purchase and I need your opinion!

Hi gang,

This is a local dealer selling this CJ7. I have not test drivent yet but perhaps this weekend I will but before I waste my time or the dealer's time, what do you guys think? The pictures paint a pretty picture but I know that can be totally just a front. There isn't a whole lot of information under the description of the vehicle. I called up the dealer and asked info about the CJ and they were clueless. My feeling is that somebody walked in to that dealer and traded it in. I don't know, what do you guys think?
