|Jerry Bransford||Easy fix. Buy an aerosol can of white lithium grease & spreay the steering wheel shaft where it passes through its rubber boot located on the firewall. Spray both sides & work it in all the way. This will cure it for at least several years. Using WD-40 will only fix it for several days until it evaporates.|

I've been hearing more and more squeaking coming from the upper steering column since the days have been getting colder and colder.
Is this a simple problem that I can fix, or is it an indication of something more difficult? I was thinking steering fluid, but I've never heard noise coming from this high up in the column before when fluid was low.
