giles45shop When I bought my 99 TJ w/ tube fenders, the PO had used the side marker light along with a jumper to the turn signal wiring and basically stuck the normal side marker bulb in the front of the fender as a turn signal w/ no side marker light.

It flashed fast, and when you turned on the headlights, both turn signal indicators on the dash would illuminate like you are showing.

When I replaced this cluster f*** with a Gen Right Stealth marker light kit, the directions had me wire the grounds from the two LED's (side marker and turn) together and hook to the turn signal ground. Then the "blinking" wire from the original turn signal was wired to the LED turn signal and the the remaining wire from the original turn signal was wired to the positive wire of the LED side marker light.

The side marker lights were not used. I replaced the original flasher unit under the dash with a replacement flasher unit made for LED's that I bought from the auto parts store and everything worked perfectly.

kylekae I had to cut the front marker connector to fit the stock harness through the new inner fender cut out. So since I already cut the front connector I just used those wires instead of cutting off the side marker connector as well. It actually works better that way. It makes the front led as a marker and turn signal instead of just one. With metalcloaks instructions one led would be marker and one would be blinker. I might just hook the front marker connector back on and wire it the way metalcloak wanted. But is there any way to get by or turn off the warning.

Jerry Bransford Why not just wire the lights as they were originally designed? I have installed three different fender types on two different TJs that required me to replace/rewire the front and side marker lights and never had a problem when I simply wired them as the factory did.

turn signal question? after new leds turnsignals.

I got some metalcloak fenders and purchased their led blinkers as well. In their instructions they said to use the side marker wires. But I used the front markers wires instead. I also relaxed the blinker relay so they would blink slowly. So now with the front led as a blinker and marker and the side led only as a marker. The computer thinks that there is no lights Hooker up and lights up both turnsignals lights on the dash. And it beeps every 10 or so minutes. How can I defect this. The lights work. I just want to get rid of this. Help.
