03Leo 78000 miles on my 03. Runs super strong and I'm planning to keep it for a while. Lots of long trips. No major repairs except for and 02 sensor and the master switch once cause my fog lights were not working. Spent lots of money in mods to it. Oil changes every 3k. Love it

SportsGal501 2006 "X" trim

1,065 miles as of now
Purchased August 25th it had 23 miles

Slight squeaky noise every once in awhile
when pressing on the brakes. But last week
in the "monsoon" we had in NYC,I drove through
alot of water....had no choice...but it was fun

Did see a Jeep Commander being towed on the
news after going through what looked liked a
small river.Laughed so hard because you would
have thought the Jeep Commander would have
been okay....I'm sure the owner thought the same.

AggieChris My 02 has about 52K miles and running strong. The only thing I've done to it is change the oil/oil filter and the upgrades I've made to it. I hope it lasts well beyond 100K...

JeepCrawler98 98 TJ with the 2.5L, bought with 48,000 in november 2002, now has a bit over 130,000 on it. Never had any major issues - a few crappy connectors on the #1 injector that I had to fix, and a clogged radiator to replace. I change my oil every 3k to 6k with just regular dino oil depending on what I'm doing with it - its had its small leaks but they've all come and gone; the Jeep is dry as a bone underneath, not an oily spot in sight It's fairly modified and has been for a while with relocated gas tanks, a new suspension, SYE/CV shaft, locker up front, and 33x12.50s (on stock gearing).

For the beating it endures, and still serving as a very full time daily driver, I can't say I'm not impressed with how well its held up. I made a 10 hour drive this past saturday, from tucson to pintop, some wheeling, then back to Tucson - all non stop with no engine breaks other for gasoline, and it performed just beautifully.

kg4kpg Mine is a 2ooo TJ and I bought it with 56000 on it. It's just about to hit 60k and runs fine except for the rear O2 sensor. Too many issues to drop the 80 bucks on it right now. And yes, gas mileage is suffering but since I don't put many miles on it I can deal with it for now. Anyone else ever wired in one of those O2 sensor cheaters? I bought one because it is a cheap fix, just haven't tried to splice it in yet.

Swizz 97 Sahara 4.0 here, I40,xxx miles on her. Had to replace the water pump and now she needs a radiator, no leaks tho it has the case of the dissappearing cooling fins going on! lol no overheating either lol

I did run Seafoam through her too and my lord what a smokeshow!!!!!!!! lol Neighbors came out of their houses to watch a fire lol Idles noticably smoother and haven't had a problem since.

Oh I need to put a new steering box in too, that just started leaking too =/
But that is all nothing major (knock on wood) =)

khenderson my 97 2.5 has 151K on it. at about 140, i tore the top end off. I cleaned it up, added 4.0 TB, cleaned intake manifold, had the head thoroughly cleaned up at a shop, replaced exhaust from block to back. had replaced radiator about 10K before. gave it a whole new ignitionsystem from distibutor to plug. and just generally cleaned her all up. now she's running the best she ever has.

High Mileage Review...

I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone has done to keep thier rigs gonig for the long haul (100,000 miles or more).

My 99 TJ has 120,000 miles and the only major maintenance issue I've had was to replace the radiator. I've been pretty religious about changing the oil and switched to synthetic at 75,000. My TJ is pretty much a stock everyday driver and used off-road only 10-15% of the time.
