scrambler1 If you cannot locate your stamp,or tag you can count the rotatation's on your tire/drive shaft. Open dif you will need a friend. here is a link:

1BLKJP I was under the impression that all 4 Cyl YJ's got 4.10's. 6 cylinder versions could have either 3.07, 3.54, or 3.73.

You can always be sure for yourself with one of three ways. If the metal tag is still bolted onto your diff cover it will say there. 2nd would be to jack up the rear end, mark the drive shaft and then spin the tire until it makes one complete rotation. Count the number of revolutions the drive shaft makes and that is your ratio. The third would be to pop the diff cover and count the numer of teeth on the pinion and then divide that by the number of teeth on the ring gear.

jpdocdave i was hopin someone knew for sure, i thought they were different. 5spd is 4.11 100% auto is usually geared a little higher

jpdocdave if its a 5 spd, you have 4.11 gears, if its auto i forgot off the top of my head.
