Its_a_jeep_thing If you go on the 3m paint protection web page you can find a certified installer near you and they can get the film or if your interested in it I could send you a bulk peace of flat black and you can do It yourself

tabber02 you could get it wrapped too. lots of companies are looking to wrap vehicles, probably wouldn't be to difficult to getting a wrap done for the grill.

Daniel_M The different colored grille is standard on the Mountain Edition. I say bedline thing yourself. You really can't mess it up. The grille comes off easily. Scuff with sandpaper, clean, hit with primer and hit with rattle can. The textured finish of bedliner will hide imperfections in paint better than a gloss would.

I don't think anyone makes a colored cap for the grilles. OR do the prep work yourself and have someone else who knows how to paint spray it on for you.

Its_a_jeep_thing I instal 3m paint protection film for a living and they make film in a Matt finish among many others and you could achieve the looking your going for with that. I'm not sure how durable the colored vinyl is because I don't have much experience with that film in particular but I know the clear paint protection film is very durable.

Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Amazon.

It is like $6 a can. Remove your grill, plasti-dip, and call it a day. When you get tired of it in a year....just peel it off. I plasti-dipped my rims. Love it...

Where did you get the plasti dip

steve66 I have seen entire black grills on ebay for 100 bucks, check that out.

loueydalump Yes, Plasti-Dip is def different than Bedliner ... PD'd mine and it came out great, too

2five22 They used to make grille covers. I had a stainless one on my CJ5 in the 1980s, but I have never seen a black one for the newer models.

If you know you want a black or other color grille, the long term answer is to paint it. If you want to try the look or save cash, then plasti-dip is the way to go.

That's not a grille cover--that's a mineral grey grille. My mountain edition came with the same grille. The grille itself is a different color from the body.

The best thing to do as an aftermarket option is to just plasti-dip or bedline your current grille. A local body shop could do it for you for very low cost.

Havok I plasti-dipped mine it came out great

6 bucks and easy to do.

Lycian I Plastidipped my grille for around $6, and it came out great. The great thing about PD is it's pretty durable after it cures, but if you don't like it, you can always just peel it off.

Grill 1 pc insert

My 07 came with a one piece insert... I like it a lot.
Best pic I could find...

That looks good. I guess I'll just go this route. I have already driving all over Atlanta looking for expanded metal in the diamond pattern and could not find any for sale that has the size, material and pattern I wanted. I probably already spent more than I would have just buying the pre-fab'ed ones.

MudRunner I do not think they make grille covers. That image you posted was simply a mountain edition which came with a grey grille. You could either A. Buy a mountain edition grille or B. Have your grille professionally powdercoated.

I bedlined my rims and they came out horrible, so I would rather pay a couple hundred for a grill overlay that was already the color I want.

StumpMT Check this thread out. I plan on doing it when I get my Jeep. From what I've read about it it seems really durable and very inexpensive.

Jared66 Like a grill cover for winter you mean? Like a tarp over the front end idea? Jeep does make them. So im told, the dealership usually has to order them, they're not a northern dealership.never seen one though.

kramer2k What is a grill cover?

Will you post up a picture of an example?
