damndirtydog I need to get to hard rock, haven't been there yet.
There are several trail entrances off of state road 40 that criss cross around the Pinecastle bombing range. A main entrance to the Centenial trail is about 3 miles west of Juniper Springs. Another one is off of SR 19 at the sign for the bombing range.
Take your street gps or your smart phone. A lot of the trails and forest roads are mapped so it's almost impossible to get lost if you have a navigation device. Terrain is pretty easy. Very muddy when it rains and plenty of soft sugar sand when it's dry with a few hills.
Never have seen much wildlife. Saw a black bear run across the trail about 2 months ago. A lot of birds.

Ocala trails

I'm heading to Ocala/Hernando after Christmas to visit the in-laws. Any suggestions on places to go wheeling? Also interested in trails in the park there for finding good scenery/wildlife for photography. Thanks for any suggestions.
