Krew12 Ya for the price it was definitely a steal! I'm still in shock about it. I have drove past the dude that I bought it from and he seems a little sad that I got it to where it is now lol. and I've only put 400 into it so far so for 1000 dollars I got myself a fun, reliable jeep!

New Member! Hello All!

Hello everyone.. I'm new to the forum and Jeep Community so I figured I would post a thread introducing myself. My name is Ryan and about a month ago my car was on the verge of dying so i needed something else. My Neighbor down the road had a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with 140,000 miles sitting across the street from his house. He didn't drive it much (inspection stickers were out a year and a half) but he did start it up every month and drive it around the block a couple of times just to keep it running. I went down and asked him about it and he said that about two months ago it just wouldn't start up anymore. He called a place that buys cars and they offered him 600 to come and tow it away so that's what he wanted for it.

Well needless to say, I couldn't pass up a deal like that so 600 came out of my pocket! I put it on a battery charger and it started right up!

So far I have changed the battery, serpentine belt, brake lines, Distributer and roter, spark plugs and wires, and all of the shocks. I have also painted the flares and bumper.

Although i was skeptical at first, I am very glad that this deal came into my hands and I am very happy I have this jeep now. It is a great piece of machinery and I am excited to be in (the jeep club).

First pic is day I bought it and after is where it stands now
