4Jeepn As the above links says, you have lots of options... you can pin the shift fork, or install a 1pc shaft from a XJ or TJ. only down side is that you need new seal, and might need to get your front driveshaft balanced. OR swap in a HP dana 30 from a late model XJ... depends on how much work you want to take on.

axle conversion question

OK so i got a 92 wrangler and the vacuum motor thing on the front axle don't work any more and the outer shaft bearing dont want to move properly... so what i was wondering if rather then replacing all that and fooling around with vacuum lines and stuff if it would be a good idea to put a solid axle in there rather then the disconnecting axle?
