Sorry for my poor selection of word...after the tank is full, and the pump has stopped, some gas spills out of the tank. They said there is a valve in the tank that is not working. So tank had to be changed.
Check the youtube, there are many segment on this.

|Nxkharra||Update - picked up the car from the shop with a new tank. Had to pay 100 for deductible and the extended warranty paid for the rest. Where is Chrysler in all these? Glad I bought the extended warranty as this could have cost more than 700.|

From a year ago:
I sent an email about the fuel spit up yesterday afternoon.
Got a call from Ralph, customer service.
Told me it’s covered. He also told me I bought 7 Dodge/Chrysler/Jeeps jeeps from them. (how did he know that?)
HE SAID UNLIMITED LENGTH ON FIX FOR THIS, no 3/36 etc.
On mine – 2008:
X-32 Inlet Check Valve.
Also, new trans cooler lines and over temp sensor, other crap.
Said dealer would fix, gave me case #, etc – no problem.
Click the link and send in your problem. You need the VIN. Miles, etc.
I think if you mention a fuel spitup on a 2009 they might fix it. Mention x-32 Inlet Check Valve (on a 4 yr old Jeep)

|whiteyj||Nice. Hey I'm going to move this over to the JK section rather than the Communications & Electronics spot you're posting in.|

|Nxkharra||Update - extended warranty folks are covering the tank replacement. I think Jeep needs to address this issue for all Wranglers.|

Sorry for my incomplete sentence. You have guessed the problem. Mine is a 2009 so no luck with them paying for repair.
Dealer was asking $800 for it and I do have a extended warranty but they said if it is due to fuel quality they might not cover it. They only pay for mechanical issues.

|8figgas||Even though no action was required by the NHTSA, Chrysler has announced a lifetime warranty program for 2007-2008 Jeep Wranglers built from March 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008 to address the fuel spill-back issue. This free warranty program applies to roughly 135,000 vehicles and owners will be notified via mail.|

I was going to guess he wasn't from an English-speaking country but his profile says he's from Virginia so...
I assume you're talking about when refueling, the pump does not shut off in time to avoid gas spilling out of the filler. It's a common problem with TJs and JKs, caused by E10 fuel ruining valves inside our fuel tanks. I believe Chrysler has been willing to replace JK fuel tanks without much trouble, unlike us TJ owners who are largely out of luck.

Fuel ejecting after completion
I have had issues with fuels pouring out of my Jeep wrangler 2009. Has anyone heard a recall or news feom Jeep on this?
