RednekYJ Check out the hack and tap SYE kit. I think it's $99.

alcapon1 Slip yoke for sure, having the transfer case and transmission drop kit is lame and still does not work. Driveshaft is 50% stronger with the SYE so do the CV too so you will have a flat belly that is a real lift.

AV8R I would do the SYE first. I am at the same crossroads right now, and I think I will go with the Advanced Adapters SYE and a Tom Woods CV shaft.

Locker or slip yoke first?

So I've got a budget around $500 to spend on upgrades. I'm looking at either a locker or a slip yoke. I only do light wheeling some weekends, no rock crawling. Its a second vehicle that I drive around town most of the time. The Jeep has a 4" lift with a transfer case drop. If I go with one over the other what else should be upgraded while its being installed?

What would you go with and can you recommend a brand?

Let the debate begin!
