|hiker8||Thanks for the quick reply! What about when it comes to the electronic sway bar disconnect and locking differentials. Are they a big advantage?! From what I've read they both seem to be key features, but that may only be on technical trails..? Again thank you, I appreciate all the help I can get!|

For your purposes the Sport or Sahara will be just fine. The D44 vs. D35 argument is a little exaggerated anyhow. But that's for another thread I suppose. The D35 is plenty capable.
The thing to shop for may be the 3.73 gears if you plan to upgrade tire size in the future. Even still though, the 3.21 gears would work as well. But if it were me I'd be on the lookout for a JKUS or Sahara with 3.73 gears and everything else as close to stock as possible.

I am currently in my hunt for my first Jeep. About 1 month in now and am in no rush to buy until I know I have found the right Wrangler for me!!
I will be using it as a DD as well as my rig for some fun out in the snow, mud and on some lighter trails. I don't see myself doing any rock crawling in the near future.
My primary question is will the x or Sahara trim be alright, or should I be looking for a rubicon. I know one of the primary differences is in the gear setup and the axles with the rubicon having the D44 as opposed to the d35. I will never put anything larger than 33's on (I say that now anyways) and if a lift was to be in order in the future it would be in the 2 or 3'' range. I am also planning a few other mods such as bumpers and winch.
Any suggestions from those with knowledge would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the scene and would love some help!
thanks in advance!
