some reading material for you: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f8/95-y...tep-77184.html
now, as for SOA being the cheap route, that is not always the case. especially if you use your current 2.5 inch springs.
what size tires are you planning on running? the 33s recommended for the 4" RC kit would look mighty small with around 8 inches of lift.

|yjmcb||I assume you already have a SYE with your 2.5 lift.If you don't that will have to be done with either type of lift most likely.I have a SOA with a AAL on my 87.Originally about 7 in now about 5.5.I have never had a problem with axle wrap on mine but my son in law with the same set up has terrible wrap on his 89.If you are going to wheel where you need lots of articulation the SOA is good.If you are worried about your center of gravity the 4in may be better. Many people now are going with less lift and cutting out fenders.flat fenders etc and still running big tires to get ground clearance and lower their cog.I like the look of the SOA but if I was doing it again I would definitely consider the less lift cut/flat fender big tire combo.yjmcb|

|bajonesy77||A simple soa lift gives approx. 5.5" of lift so if you use your 2.5" thats 8" of lift.|

I have a yj 95 wrangler I'm looking to lift but i don't know if i want to spend 500 on a rc 4" lift or if i should go the cheaper route and do an soa lift with my already 2.5" rc lift. Help me out does anyone know the cons and pros of each or is there really any difference between both???
