4Jeepn Both are good tires..my buddy just got the MTR's and really likes them. I have run the old style bfg mt and liked those too, I think the new ones are siped (spelling?) so that should help with wet weather stopping which was not the best with old ones. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

1BLKJP The 31's that I had ran on my rig were Pathfinder AT's. They did me quite well and got pretty good mileage out them. My personal preference would be the M/TR's. Their off road manners are excellent and I know quite a few people that have gotten unbelieveable mileage out of them.

JMO though.

khenderson don't have personal experience with either, but everything i've read praises both highly and it pretty much comes down to personal preference. both with suit your needs very well and are comparable to each other. i think the mt's are supposed to have a little better tread life, but driving habits, maintence, etc all have an effect on that . some say mtr's are better, other say mt's are the way to go. i'd go with mt's if it were me, just because of my experience with bfg at's.

jeepthis Ok well I changed my mind. I am going to select either the BFG MTs or the Wrangler MTRs. I need help choosing which one. THey will be a 31x10.5 tire. I am really looking for the best tread life and best road manners. The types of terrain I will see will be lots of off-camber washouts, loose and packed sand, gravel, grass, minimal amount of mud and slime. Both are the same exact price. Thanks.

Tire advice

I am going to be purchasing some M/Ts here pretty soon but I am having a difficult time selecting which tires. I would like to have the BFGs but they are a little too pricey right now, also I was looking at the Kumho Venture MTs and the Dunlop Mud Rovers. I know the BFGs are the best on and offroad but what do you all think about the other 2? They will be on my TJ and I am looking at 31x10.5x15s. What kind of mileage do the other tires get on a TJ/YJ? I am really looking for a good mileage MT tire. Thanks.
