|mxunlimited||Going to do compression check in the morning, then as soon as I can find some smaller wheels and tires that I can swap real quick just see if it makes a difference. I keep asking the question because some people say theirs will pull it in od at 70 mph, and everyone that has drove it seems to think it is something other than a re gear issue. Also as Jgreen and obiefox just said theirs seems fine at 65 to 70.|

|UpTheCreek||Mine's a dog too! It came with 285 BFG AT's and can't afford to regear for a while. I'm going to go with smaller tires in the meantime. Maybe 245 duratracs........see how it goes. These LJ's are a good bit heavier and add the hardtop, makes it a pretty heavy barndoor going in any sort of a breeze.|

Point I was trying to make (right or wrong) was with similar setup as OP that I run 65-70 on freeway with no problem so he probably has another issue other than regearing. Again, sorry for the misinformation.

33" tires with 3.73 gears at 70 MPH with a .69 OD would net you just over 1800 RPM not 2300.

They are not holding OD at 65mph with 33's and a 4rle unless they are headed downhill with a tail wind. 33's with 4.10 will pull about 1900 RPM at 65 mph with a 4rle .69 OD.
Have you done a compression check on your engine? Anyone local to you have a dyno that you can do a quick pull on?

|JGreen06TJ||I have the 4.0 with an automatic, 33" tires and factory 3.73 gears and have no problem running 65-70 on the freeway right around 2300 rpms. I usually run with the overdrive off when not on the freeway as 50 mph is only turning 1500 rpms and lugs the engine. With overdrive off 50 mph is around 2200 rpms.|

|krisbman||My Snap on guy had a car that was really giving him some troubles so he had some sort of hydro wash done, i think it pumps pressurized H2O through the motor. Supposed to really clean it out. Says it worked great, i dont know.|

|PHILDABEAST||When I bought mine it had no power whatsoever, wouldn't run 70 on the highway. So after using this stuff on the industrial engines I work on I decided to try it on the jeep before I did spark plugs, fuel filter etc and it fixed it within the first half a tank and my jeep has run great ever since. It's made by schaeffers and its called neutra. For $7 or $8 its worth a try.|

Still have no power
Ok, I know everyone has said re gear for 33s but I have some people that have rubicon automatics that tell me theirs will hold overdrive with no problem at 65 and 70 mph but it would be better with different gears. I am not interested in a hot rod just want to be able to commute to work 25 miles at interstate speed. I have put new cats on, new plugs, new o2 sensors, new fuel pump. Fuel pump did nothing, plugs helped very little, o2 sensors did nothing, new cats seemed to help a little. Have taken it to 4 different shops including the dealer, and everyone agrees that it has no power and seems like something is wrong with it but no one can seem to help me figure it out. The list of things I have done has been all of the shops suggestions. Please help
