I only cut off the smaller vent hose. My original post was not very clear.
I am gonna end up spending the extra money and getting the Bosch assembly. Too many Airtex horror stories.

|Shoe||Did you cut the big filler hose, or the smaller vent hose? You should only cut the vent hose.|

You are 100% correct. The 19 gal pump has a float that will be able to read the whole 19 gallons instead of staying on full for 75 or 100 miles.
I would strongly recommend NOT buying and Airtex pump unless you like to get stranded in your jeep when it fails in a few months.
be sure and replace the rubber gasket when you do the pump.

Fuel Pump Assembly for a 15 Gallon Tank
I need to replace the entire Fuel Pump Assembly on my 97 SE with a 15 gallon tank. I cut the elongated filler tube, turning my 15 gallon tank into a 19 gallon tank. Can I buy a pump meant for the 19 gallon tank instead of the 15 gallon tank now? The 15 gallon ones are easily 30% more expensive. I think the only difference would be how the float measures the fuel level. Feel free to recommend fuel pump brands although I know there are other threads out there discussing that subject exclusively.
