JKUdad There is a great fire road on the I/17 called bloody basin rd about 30 miles north of phx. It's a nice long road that will lead you into cave creek area.

Matt13 You can search trails.com or get Arizona Guide to Off Road Trails (book). AZ is a very diverse state, many different trails. Enjoy!

need tips for a trip to AZ

i am planing a cross country trip trailering my 2005 LJ rubicon
have friends in flagstaff an phoenix to park the trailer at there house but they no nothing about the off roading there.

lookin for some mild trails,fire roads,dirt roads around flagstaff-phoenix area. i know that is a big area but we will drive in on 40 to flagstaff going down 17 to phoenix area. my jeep is mosty stock 2.5 lift an 32in tires so not wanting to hit any large rock stuff just want too see the area other than the interstate view.

also what time of year is the best and do i need perments from the state
