jpdocdave sounds like the gear selector needs to be adjusted, if possible (i hate body lifts) its not going all the way into park, thus not staying put, and nuetral safety switch not engaging properly to start it.

1987 YJ Wrangler rolls backwards in PARK

Its a automatic. I got a 2" body lift installed last week and drove it lengthly for the first time today. Only thing is in sometimes it wont start up in park I have to put it in nuetral and it starts right up. 2nd it rolled backwards on me while in park on a flat road, and 3rd I thought i smelled gas. Is it possible i needed to extend some hoses or a drive shaft or something? I'm assuming it all came with the kit. Newbie here
