Ok so I will have to go with the 3.73's to start than eventually upgrade if i end up upgrading everything else =P
There really isnt anything too hardcore around here in Rhode Island that i have found or want to attempt. The jeep will be my daily driver so going to stay away from anything too big for me. I''l keep posting as i get more info or questions =D Thanks for the info guys

I'd get the 3.21's because if you ever think you'll lift, get better rubber, or otherwise actually use your Jeep, you'll want at least 4.10's.
IMHO with an autotrans:
4.10 okay for 32" tires but not great.
4.56 for 33" tires
4.88 or 5.13 for 35" tires.
Unless you keep the small tires and never see a hill, I can't see how anybody would be happy with 3.21 or 3.73.....

With any Jeep, lower gears will help, especially when you decide to put some larger tires on it.
Go with the 3.73's.

|OffTheGrid||I have a Rubicon with 4.10s and I don't think it revs too high on the highway, but for me 70mph is probably about as fast as I'll ever go. I don't use it as a daily driver so fuel economy on the highway isn't a big factor for me, it's more about fun and how it performs off-road. I suppose also automatic vs manual might have a bearing on your choice as well. Do you plan to lift it and run bigger tires? If you do will you re-gear? I suppose your choice of 3.21 vs 3.73 depends on what you want to use it for most of the time but I would probably choose 3.73 over 3.21.|

Possibly going to pickup a JK, axle ratio question
So I'm looking into a new JK Sahara that is at my local dealership. The onle question i have is about the gears. I was looking on the website and was under the Build My Own area and saw 2 different axle ratios.
3.21 Axle Ratio & 3.73 Axle Ratio
When i click the tooltip it explains that one gives better gas milage and a lower RPM while the other improves acceleration, climbing grades, & carrying loads.
If i got the higher axle ratio will it hurt my highway RPMs that bad or is it nothing to really be worried over.
I used to have a 98 Wrangler SE that i just did some smaller things to when i was 18. At the moment i have a 93 6cyl which is a rust bucket.
hmm....now that i think of it should i wait till they have a "SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY Push, Pull, Tow. at least $3000 on any trade in!!!!" deal and trade in my 93 that sits in my garage mostly due to leaks that shorts my radio? Never been too handy =(
