|cameltowing||I'm mounted my spare tire on my towbar here it is in my Jeep mounted at an angle I want to make a bar for the back so I can lift the whole tire level and Stowe gear underneath.|

|McCracka||I am removing my seat belts now and looking at making a bracket using the seatbelt mounts. I think with a bar between them, tubing, and a universal spare mount I might be able to make one.|

|blue6tj||Looks great but you should mount it on the drivers side so you dont have a big blind spot...|

One question did you have to remove the plastic parts form the wheel wells to get at the underside when you mounted that?

|JFjeld||I did something similar, for the same reason, but used a different approach. So far mine has held up to the abuse of wheeling 2-3 times a month. Here is my write-up from JeepForum: In-cab TJ Spare Tire Mount - JeepForum.com|

in bed tire mount
well I hate having my tire on the tail gate so until I make a tire carrier bumper I used from scrap to make a mount in the bed. I dont like it so much but its better then the tire wrecking my tailgate (its already bent the hinges)
If i was gunna do it again i wouldnt have the piece attach to the tub because the top doesnt go down and that part is so thin as well.
...yet another project where nothing ever goes right lol.
