|twixter96||I will look into finding an ax15, I don't want to be in the same boat in a few months. Finding it will be the hard part, thinking about just going the eBay route|

Get the AX15, don't bother with the Peugeot. You know the answer I believe, but just need a nudge, you know the Peugeot is inferior, just do it once, and do it right... you'll be money ahead.
Keep us posted on your progress.....

I put in a new reverse gear set, cost me $300 and I did it myself. It lasted a month when my daughter popped the clutch by accident and destroyed the brand new gears and put a hole in the case.

|rykemc||Swap in the AX15. That Peugeot is a piece of crap.|

|twixter96||I have the Peugeot and need a new tranny (pops out of reverse) the guy at the tranny shop says I should swap in an ax15 because it's a far superior. My question is should I take his advice or should I put it another Peugeot?|

But I would not go backwards to the Peugeot transmission, but I would definitely NOT purchase one. It is not worth the effort; but if you already have a Peugeot, then its an easy swap. I believe in '88 they started changing to the AX15, so if your jeep is newer then chances are its an AX15.
But to answer your question, you would need the correct Transfer case, probably an NP207, and a new clutch disk to fit on the BA10 input shaft. Otherwise it should be a bolt in.
