RednekYJ Yes. I am using it. I thought it was toast but turns out it was filled with water. Dried it out and it's been fine ever since. It was winter when I had this problem and was tricky to figure out. Jeep would start and drive fine, bout 10 min later it would die and not start for 1-2 hrs. On a hunch I pulled the ECM and found it waterlogged.

RednekYJ Here is what it looks like removed. The ecm is the silver box in the center. The gold valve near the top left of the opening is part of the heating system

In my 89 2.5 manual trans the ECM, ECU, computer whatever ya want to call it is mounted behind the glove box. To remove the section you need to remove the 4 hex head screws holding the door on, 3 screws holding the top part to the rest of the dash and 4 7/16 nuts 2 on either side of the door
