|All Terrain JK||If it has been repaired near the rear tire, check where tcase skid bolts to the fame. Another favorite spot for rust though is behind the rear tire near bumper. I used safety cap repair pieces on my sons TJ and I believe that if done properly, frame is as strong or stronger than stock. Some pictures would help. I will be doing a build thread on that frame restoration in the near future. Sorry for long reply|

If it was repaired with the safe t cap frame repair pieces then it should be fine.

Need advice on a TJ frame.
I'm currently looking at a 1998 2.5L 5 speed, the frame was welded at the shop with a frame kit and its rusty under it, (not to bad.) But its bad enough where the frame needed to be done . You know, where the rear tires are. I'm just wondering if that will affect its performance if i ever decide to put money into it.
