|Triple88a||well here i added few pics of my progres. I would say 1 6x9 connected sounds better than the 2 that i have in the bar now (i think they are the stocks). http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2512831/1|

So i started making the box.
I'm now waiting for the "liquid nail" glue to dry
Here is a pic (blueprint) of my pieces.. later on i will add actual pics of it on my cardomain...
The wood plate is 32" by 48" and its 1/4" thick.. i wanted 3/8" but they didnt have any and 1/2 was way to thick and heavy for my use so i decided to go with the 1/4"

|vrtclychllgd||I have the VDP 6-speaker overhead sound bar in my jeep and I couldn't be happier. Its a huge improvement over the stock soundbar that had those crappy little 3.5 inch speakers in it. Bought mine from quadratec for $190.00. Well worth the money(IMO).|

|3jeepguy||if all you want is sound than get a pair of speaker seats out of a pontiac fiero ( remember those ) each seat has 2 speakers in the headrest|
|11-20-2006 09:20 PM|
|itsmyjeep||not sure that I could accomlish that under the 150 - 200.00 cost of the ones already done. Unless you have any suggestions on material to use...|

I am looking to buy a speaker bar. I currently have a couple box 6x9's in the back, but thought I could get better, or at at least more direct sound from a speaker bar. I also thought having a dome light would be a nice feature. Some of them that I have seen online look a bit bulky, and others I am scared of them having very poor sound quality. Any thoughts on types, and which ones are better than other?
